Birthday Weekend

Every year we celebrate Garrett and Lexi's birthdays together.  Their birthday's are very close so we throw one family party for the both of them. They don't know any different yet, and hopefully we can keep it that way for a while ;)

I moved the house around a little bit and made a formal dining room in our used to be piano area.  It worked wonderfully for entertaining.  We had both sides of the family over and had a wonderful time.  We are blessed to have both families get along so well.

I asked the kids what they wanted to eat for their birthday party dinner and all they wanted was homemade pizza.  I really wanted to make ribs, but thought I wouldn't hear the end of it.  I finally compromised a little bit and made stromboli.  It was okay, but nothing like ribs :)

Aunt M. bought a new puppy while she was in town and brought it over to play with our new pups.  Lexi took over the whole time and was rarely seen without little chowder.

Lexi must have been bored with adult talk because she hid out under the table for a while.  :)

I could never get a good picture of both Garrett and Lexi.  They will hate me in years to come for the horrible job I did taking pictures.

Lexi received a barbie movie, clothes, a candy jewelry making kit, a barbie, shoes, a coloring purse, a giant coloring book, and a jewelry bead kit.  Thank you everyone so much for her presents...especially the clothes.  ;)  Now I know why parents get so excited when the kids get clothing.

Garrett received lots of Bible man videos, a battleship game, shoes, clothes, books, and a guess who game.  Thank you everyone so much for his gifts.

This is my brother.

I love the bumbo seat.  Whoever invented it is a genius.  Right now at this stage it is a huge blessing.  Breanna only likes to be sitting completely upright, but cannot on her own so this is wonderful.

Lexi is modeling her new candy jewelry that she made.  Aunt M and I helped start her out and couldn't get the oven to work.  Growing up we did not have things like this and if there was such a thing we weren't allowed to have one so...we didn't know how to make it work.  Finally after reading the FULL instruction book I saw a line that said light bulb not included.  It was quite funny.  It was even funnier trying to figure out how to open our entry chandelier to get a light bulb out to make the oven work.  Oh the things we do for our wonderful children. :)

Mawmaw, Breanna is wearing the shoes you gave her for the first time!!
I got this outfit at a yard sale for $2.00 and thought it was so cute.  I wanted a better picture, but she would not look at the camera for anything.  The four of us were standing there trying our hardest to get her attention...it was a sight :)
