The God of the Impossible

I love being a Pastor's Wife.  I love supporting my husband in the ministry God has given us.  I never knew what lay ahead for us as we took on the Sr. Pastorate for the first time.  I can honestly say that this past year has been one of the most rewarding years of my life.  We have had great challenges this past year, but with great challenge also comes great blessing.

This year has been a year of God doing the impossible.  We know it was only God because humanly the things we have seen are unexplainable.  We serve such a big God Who delights in doing the impossible for His children.

We had a Professor in College tell us that we should never expect more than a certain amount of baptisms and salvations each year.  He gave an average figure, but I don't remember what it was.  I do know that God is not limited by human thought or reason.  Aren't you glad?

I don't have the stats nor am I good at keeping up with numbers, but we have seen so many people come to faith in Christ this year and many more baptized.  We are seeing revival break out within our church and can also see how God is working in our community drawing people to Himself.

God has blessed us financially.  Our gym roof needed replacing and instead of borrowing money we decided to take up a single offering one Sunday morning and the offering exceeded the need for the roof!  We have started a renovation project that started just a few weeks ago.  We took up another offering for this project and will not have to borrow one penny!  I will share more pictures in another post of our progression so far.

I am sharing all of this to say that we serve such an amazing God.  If I were pointing out these things only to show you what our church has done this year that would be wrong of me, but I wanted to highlight how big and awesome our God is!  He has done such a great and mighty work.  One of which we are not even worthy, but one that shows us of His great love!  There is so much more I could share about how God is working and so much I can't wait to share of what He will do this next year!

There is no greater joy in life than serving the God of the Universe!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
Valerie
