Christmas Mantle and Tree

Many bloggers are posting pictures of their mantles so I thought I would share mine today.    There are so many ways to decorate a mantle and not enough Christmas's a year. :)  In our previous house we did not have a mantle so I was excited about getting to decorate this one.   This year I had an abundance of greenery as I posted before so I used greenery as my theme throughout the house paired with some tree decorations from last year.

Our living room is decorated in browns and neutrals so I chose the colors brown, gold, cream, and light green for the tree.  I was very limited because I must have chosen a very unpopular color this year and couldn't find ornaments to match so I made my own ornaments.  I will share a post on that in a few days.

I was able to use greenery from our evergreen trees to decorate the house for free!  I used decorations I already had to spruce up the greenery.

Garrett is in the school chime choir and yesterday they played the chimes for the whole school. They played Silent Night and did such an awesome job!  Garrett is the one in red to the right of the teacher.

Tonight Lexie has her first cheer game.  She was in Upwards last year and refused to cheer, but wanted to try again.  I am excited to see how it goes.

I have lots to do and so little time.  I bet everyone is like that this time of year.  I haven't even started my Christmas shopping.  The closest town to shop in is 45 minutes away so I haven't gotten out to shop for Christmas yet.  The time is flying by so fast!  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Enjoy this Christmas season!!
